I've just managed to solo him in LFR as a 431 ret paladin, and the biggest reason it was even possible was Beacon to the Beyond trinket (LFR with 8/8 upgrade, ilvl 424) which crit for ~935K. Start the fight, watch DBM for the first MC orb countdown, bubble before it lands, wings + beacon to the beyond trinket + nuke.
