I have called about this matter many times over the past few years but can’t get a straight answer. Fiber is the technology used to deliver the service, the speed can vary. Gigabit is about the highest you can get at the consumer level today but you can also just get 100 or 300 or whatever the isp will sell you if you don’t need the extra speed.
